We got together today for a picnic & to plan our garden! It was an exciting day. Mrs. Kathy & Mr. Gary, Matt & Luke, and Billy, Megan & Gabe came over to the cabin and we got to work. We looked through a seed catalog, plowed up the ground (it will be about 5000 sq. feet.) and cut down some trees to use for a fence. We're not sure exactly what we'll be growing yet, but we're looking into various vegetables, fruits, herbs, and more. Here are some pictures of our planning day:

I'm looking forward to starting this garden for a few reasons. I'm looking forward to growing our own food of course, and spending the time doing it with family. I'm also hoping that by working the garden, we will reflect on the similar ways that the Lord works in our own hearts.
